Parish Council
The Parish Council serves as the coordinating group for the many ministries at Holy Spirit Parish. The purpose of the Council is to advise and assist the pastor in the undertakings and activities of the entire parish. By promoting dialogue and decision-making among the priests, religious and laity, and coordinating the efforts of various organizations, we hope to ensure that the gifts and talents of parish members are used for the welfare of the parish and the community. Council members are people committed to prayer. They have a sense of mission and are willing to become considerably involved in the life of the parish. Members represent the total parish, promote the mission of Christ, and use broad vision in helping determine the direction of the parish.
Members are chosen by parishioners, appointed by the pastor, or named by the Commission they represent.
The Parish Council is the coordinating group for the following Commissions, all of which are directly accountable to the Council:
Worship Commission
Formation Commission
Social Concerns Commission
Administration Commission
Youth & Young Adults
Each Commission has a representative in the Parish Council.
